Firmware Engineer III (Salt Lake City)

Firmware Engineer III We are looking for an awesome Firmware Engineer to join our research and development department. We are creating and introducing a new series of electronics into our x-ray tube offerings in the marketplace. You will be joining a diverse R&D group that develops high end x-ray tube electronics for major and developing OEM partners and has a lot of fun doing it. The firmware engineer will have strong experience designing embedded firmware for medical systems. They will be responsible for design, firmware architecture, implementation, maintenance, execution, documentation, verification and validation, and troubleshooting of the code within a regulated environment. In this position, they will work with a multi-discipline team of electrical, firmware, and hardware engineers to ensure a high quality product. Skill Requirements: Experience developing and maintaining embedded firmware Familiar with microcontroller architecture Strong ability to program in C Expertise in predictive analysis and diagnostics preferred. Experienced with interfacing to analog and digital controls Experience with electronic sub-system and system design Strong experience with prototyping and production Familiar with regulatory requirements for medical electrical products Generate requirements and design documents. Ability to read schematics and layouts Skill Desired: Expertise in predictive analysis and diagnostics preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) Ability to mentor other engineers Working knowledge of Python Highly motivated and self-driven Be awesome!!
