1988 Toyota 4runner Deluxe 1st gen - $32,500 (slc)

Will post in a couple other "nearby" metropolitan areas to get more exposure, and would consider meeting halfway, or figuring out some sort of transportation if need be. 180k miles, confirmed via carfax, carfax also shows just 3 owners, Runs amazing, Rare spec'd "deluxe" package 4runner in this bright red exterior, with red interior, with the factory retro decals, 22re with the 5 speed, wing windows in doors, a/c etc... These are becoming more rare by the day as lots of them have succumbed to rust issues and will never be the same even once "repaired", many were cut up for rock crawling, and people are increasingly aware of how they make great classics to own as they are very usable as a daily driver with their reliability, good mpgs, factory air conditioning, heater, and power steering, and they drive great on the highway. Asking $32,500obo This is an awesome classic Toyota perfect for someone that is looking for a turn key ready to go 1st gen 4runner. There are plenty of decent projects in the $10k range, this is priced what it is because it is not a project. There has been a ton of time and money invested to get this 4runner in this shape. Will consider trades for cool stuff.... fishing boat, atvs, camper van, other cool cars, motorcycles, etc. Has a new 22re long block from Sunwest automotive engine running great with lots of power and 0 leaks. You can view their website to see exactly what goes into the assembly of their engines, but a couple highlights are an upgraded cam, all new gaskets, bearings, upgraded timing chain set, etc Truck has been completely serviced so it is ready to go this included: New fluids (engine oil, coolant, front and rear diff fluid, transfer case fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid) New spark plugs and spark plug wires Of course the engine had the valves adjusted and timing done There was a bunch of other associated maintenance and new parts along with that. New high end paint job, not a cheap respray, all glass came out including windshield, everything was disassembled so there are no sharp tape lines, sprayed in its factory color with Nason base coat and 4 coats of high solids clear coat. The car had no rust issues to be repaired, just a tired old paint job. There was a ton of hours put into this, A paint job like this is $10k+ Full trail gear interior panels to replace the brittle factory stuff that never holds up well. All interior upholstery is new, With genuine high grade leather seats, and brand new cut pile carpet. Brand new windshield was installed when the original came out for paint. JVC bluetooth stereo, with Kenwood speakers, and added Kenwood 6x6 speakers in the rear with the trail gear speaker brackets. 5 New method wheels with BFG ko2s. There is a matching full size spare in stock spare tire location. New front and rear Bilstein shocks New door seals, and window seals. The frame is solid as can be, 0 rust issues, I painted the exterior of the frame to enhance it cosmetically. The third member was also slowly dripping oil, so the whole axle was removed, sanded and painted in matching paint. While that was out I also pulled the leaf springs and replaced the leaf spring bushings, installed new Ubolts, and painted the leaf springs before re installing. Factory hard top is currently being refinished in its factory texture, and black paint, along with new headliner installed. The rear seats are not installed in pictures as I never had passengers, but I will install them if requested, and they are also newly reupholstered. It has a "rebuilt" title, I have the Carfax, It was reported stolen on 9/28/1997, and recovered 5 days later on 10/3/1997 after that it was sold at a stolen vehicle auction where it got the branded title. It Has passed its safety inspection required in Nevada where it now has a "rebuilt" title, these register exactly the same as a clean title vehicle. No extra steps.
