Ocean Casino Resort, Atlantic City's most innovative and premier luxury casino resort, is seeking a Busperson for their high-end restaurant- Linguini By The Sea. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with previous Busperson experience who is passionate about providing excellent customer service to join our team. Responsibilities Clean and reset tables after each guest leaves. Respond to guests' requests and assist them with any immediate needs. Serve bread and water upon seating and provide guests with menu items. Monitor guest needs and respond appropriately to ensure guest satisfaction. Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest level of customer service. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Essential Functions Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast pace environment Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel areas Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shift hours Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds Requirements Previous experience as a Busperson is preferred. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must have excellent communication skills. Must have strong attention to detail. Must be a team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in accordance with health and safety regulations. About the Role The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately. Position Responsibilities Delivers completed cuisine to designated tables Supports wait staff by assisting them with delivery of food and retrieval of any supplies they may require Serves all customers according to established standards of quality Have knowledge of appropriate garnishes and sauces for each plate. Have full knowledge of table numbers, seat numbers and sections of the restaurant. Perform final quality check of all plates before delivery. Deliver all food items to the correct table in a timely manner. Know pivot points and seat numbers to deliver food without “auctioning” food. Provide guests with any items they request to complete their meal. Communicate with service staff/management any requests you cannot provide. Communicate with kitchen/management regarding any food related issues brought to your attention by the guest.
