Mechanic / Handyman / Carpenter (Tacoma)

We are seeking Production Associates/Assemblers for the remainder of the year. Our normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm and your hours will be 35-40 hours/week. Depending on mutual interest and business needs, this may convert to a full-time position in January. You will be working in our Production and Post-Production Team to prep, pour, clean, label, and pack our candles. The ideal teammate will have attention to small details and is able to perform repetitive tasks at an acceptable pace and maintain quality. The job is rewarding, but also requires a lot of manual labor, so these individuals should be able to stand on their feet 8 hours per day, lift 50 lb boxes throughout the day, and work with their hands. Responsibilities: Loading the wax melter with wax Wicking and preparing candles for pouring Operating pouring equipment Cleaning and labeling candles by hand and with a machine applicator Following a QA checklist for finished goods Packing and palletizing final products in accordance to retailer standards (e.g., certain barcodes, case packs, pallet requirements) Stocking, tracking, and recording inventory or receiving materials as needed Cleaning up studio Shipping e-commerce orders Desired Skills: Attention to detail Strong communication Self-motivated to perform well Ability to take direction Strong problem-solving skills Ability to learn quickly Adaptable Highly organized and process-oriented Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks for long periods of time Previous production experience is not required, however experience in food preparation, service industry, or other manual labor positions is ideal Bonus Points: Previous experience in manufacturing or production, with an eye for detail and quality control. Previous experience operating simple equipment or another mechanical background Experience with Asana, Excel, and other software programs. ***The position is a non-exempt W2 position.
