We’re Hiring: Sales Account Coordinator – Your Next-Level Sales Career Starts Here! As one of the world’s largest food-grade logistics companies, McLane Global relies on the efficiency of its fulfillment centers. We consider all our warehouses to be systematic and operate with a customer-centric mentality. To deliver on our promise to customers, we rely on exceptionally talented, bright, and committed people. We cultivate and embrace a diverse employee population. We recognize that people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives fuel our growth and enrich our global culture We are currently looking for a Sales Account Coordinator = Half Data Nerd. Half Relationship Builder. 100% Get Stuff Done. Why this job exists: Because grocery shelves don’t wait. Every 7–14 days, products turn — and if we’re not there, someone else definitely is. That’s not just competition — that’s opportunity walking out the door. We're on the hunt for a hunter-builder: someone who thrives on protecting our territory, launching the next big thing in-store, and turning raw shopper data into real-world velocity. As our Sales Account Coordinator, you’ll sit at the hub where manufacturers, brokers, and grocery chains collide—and somehow, you’ll make it all look easy. You’re the one who thinks in spreadsheets before 10am, walks grocery aisles after lunch, and manages to put out a dozen small fires before COB (without breaking a sweat). Key Responsibilities: Item and price maintenance Manage SKU onboarding by loading new items into retailer portals and sourcing accurate UPCs, specifications, and pack sizes to ensure flawless setup. Maintain and update promotional pricing forms to support accurate execution of pricing strategies. Identify and resolve cost discrepancies prior to store-level implementation, preventing pricing errors at the shelf. Sales analytics Extract and analyze POS data from Nielsen and IRI to monitor performance trends, identify growth opportunities, and inform sales strategy. Generate velocity and distribution reports to evaluate product movement and market penetration across key accounts and regions. Develop data-driven, presentation-ready decks for buyer meetings, delivering clear insights and actionable recommendations to support sales objectives. Promo execution Create detailed deal sheets outlining promotional offers, product details, and pricing for retailer partners. Track ad and tab placements across circulars, digital platforms, and retailer marketing channels to ensure accurate promotion visibility. Verify in-store execution by collecting and reviewing photographic evidence from field teams, confirming compliance with promotional guidelines and display standards. Customer Service Field time-sensitive inquiries such as “Where’s my truck?” by proactively coordinating with 3PL partners and distribution centers to provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams. Issue credits for product shortages and damages at store level, maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring accurate financial reconciliation. Be the Voice of the Shopper: You don’t just read loyalty card data — you translate it. You know how to find the story in the scan: spotting opportunities like Hispanic-leaning stores with underperforming frozen sections and turning those insights into action. You’ll partner with category management teams to move retailers from 8-foot generic sets to 12-foot destination experiences — because when the right products meet the right shoppers in the right place, everyone wins. Activate the Plan — and Own the Results: Once the strategy’s in place, you make it real. You’ll drive 8x/year feature and display execution, lining up perfectly with seasonal spikes. You’ll be the quarterback of broker partners: setting KPIs, coaching on selling stories, and holding the line with monthly store audits. Behind the scenes? You’re just as sharp. Forecast demand in Microsoft D365, aligning closely with supply chain teams on plant run rates and DC safety stock. Track deductions, OTIF fines, and post-promo ROI like a hawk — and make smart calls on where to reinvest or reallocate. Turn promotional chaos into disciplined performance — and keep teams aligned, accountable, and ready to execute. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Sales preferred 3+ years of experience working in retail grocery or convenience stores. Proficiency in Spanish (verbal and written) preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus.
