IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is accepting applications for an Engineering Technician position at its facility in Seattle, WA. Ideal candidates will have the following: • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other closely-related field (required) • Background as machinist, mechanical engineering technology, or related field • General aptitude for using hand tools to assemble electronic devices and shop equipment • Ability to solder (including soldering under a microscope) and knowledge of PCB board assembly • Familiarity working with computers and manufacturing software • Good hands-on skill and attention to detail. • Experience in machining with metal and plastics (some CNC machining knowledge is a plus) • Proficiency in CAD (Autodesk Fusion, Solidworks). Experience in CAM is preferred • Ability to work in a hands-on rapid prototyping environment • Ability to lift at least 30lbs regularly The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 Hourly. This is a full-time position, eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met). The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 5:30pm.
