Job responsibilities: Works under direct supervision of a crew leader for the purpose of learning the following basic skills: Setting up and oiling forms Laying mesh Tying reinforcing bars Tying steel Setting inserts Striking off Stripping forms Cleaning up Shows consistent improvement in the ability to perform work utilizing these skills. Takes the initiative to remain involved in productive work throughout the workday, either by performing work related to fabrication of precast concrete products or by informing the Crew Leader of availability to perform other tasks. Comes to work regularly and on time, in accordance with company policy. Demonstrates loyalty to the company and mutual respect for other personnel. Functions as a team player, and looks for ways to improve the way work is done Assumes responsibility for maintaining plant safety in accordance with the Enterprise Properties, Inc. Safety Manual and the direction of the Safety Coordinator. Requirements Ability to understand verbal and written instructions. Ability to consistently produce a quality product. Ability to learn new skills based upon customer requirements. Ability to calculate area and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. You will: Work with a partner throughout the day to pick up and deliver pieces of furniture. ride in our vans throughout the NYC area to pick up and deliver single pieces of furniture (65% of your time is spent riding / 35% of your time is spent picking up and delivering furniture). Inspect and wrap furniture at pick up and unwrap upon delivery to customers homes. Provide great customer service when picking up furniture from our sellers and delivering to our buyers homes.
