The successful candidate will be responsible for managing NYSDEC Spill projects, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in support of real estate transactions and managing sites in the NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) including Site Characterizations/ Remedial Investigations, Remedial Alternative Analysis/Remedial Design work and remediation projects. Prior experience with assessing feasibility/cost and detailed design for excavation and off-site disposal projects, in-situ chemical injections (oxidant and reductant approaches), sub-slab depressurization systems, and other remedial systems is required. The successful candidate will work with junior engineers, geologists and environmental scientists to design and manage field work including groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and surface water sampling, manage and evaluate field and lab data, supervise contractors and drillers, and support the preparation of reports and conduct review of reports developed by junior staff. This individual will be responsible for cost estimating, proposals, invoicing, and client management. Prior experience with environmental investigations and remediation at E-Designation projects is a plus. This position may have some limited fieldwork at times. Requirements B.S. degree in Engineering (Chemical or Environmental), Geology or Envi NY State Licensed Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist a bonus 8-16 years of experience managing Phase II ESAs and Brownfield Cleanup Program projects. Federal experience a bonus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environmental consulting team environment. The After Care Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the after-school program for students in Early Childhood through 8th grade, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment aligned with the mission of SHA. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to create meaningful afterschool programming. Hours are 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Thursday; Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Supervision Plan, organize, and oversee daily after care activities, ensuring they are age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging for EC–8 students. Supervise, train, and support after care staff and vendors, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. Maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios at all times. Coordinate enrichment programs, including partnerships with outside vendors (e.g., art, sports, drama, STEM). Coordinating with Principal and EC Director dates, activities, with already established afterschool programs such as sports and afterschool Judaic Studies Learning (Mishmar and Mishna classes). Student Care & Engagement Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students. Promote positive behavior management aligned with school values and policies. Support homework time for older students, offering guidance and assistance as needed. Provide opportunities for free play, structured activities, and social interaction. Operational Management Create and manage the after care schedule, including daily routines and special events. Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure proper check-in/check-out procedures, and payments. Communicate effectively with families regarding schedules, behavior concerns, and program updates. Collaborate with school leadership on budget, staffing needs, and program improvements. Monitor and maintain after care supplies, snacks, and materials. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with children in a school or enrichment setting, with prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of child development and best practices for engaging EC–8 students. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Commitment to the mission and values of a Jewish day school; familiarity with Jewish traditions and holidays a plus. First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date). Physical Requirements Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The Sr. Systems Engineer's primary role will involve the development of electro-mechanical systems, system architecture, and the accompanying documentation in accordance with established quality system procedures. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to fulfill product and project requirements, engaging with engineers from diverse companies and industries. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop and establish internal requirement sets and assist customers in formulating user requirements when necessary. · Contribute to the formulation of the risk management plan and associated reports. · Aid in the creation, review, and documentation of risk analyses. · Assist in the development of a Hazard Analysis as needed. · Ensure that product verification and validation are conducted, maintaining traceability for all requirements. · Facilitate and coordinate interdisciplinary technical discussions within project teams. · Oversee the coordination and documentation of system-level analyses, which includes system modeling, algorithm development, simulations, and system architecture. · Act as the main technical point of contact for customers on various projects. · Take responsibility for the technical project scope and associated efforts. · Participate in initiatives aimed at identifying and implementing technology reuse. · Engage in technical design reviews throughout the product realization process. · Assist in assessing technical talent. · Identify technical training needs and tools for the systems engineering team. · Contribute to the identification and protection of Nextern's intellectual property. Requirements · A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Engineering field. · A Master's degree in Engineering is an advantage. · At least five years of experience is required, preferably in the medical device industry, focusing on systems engineering. · Familiarity with system designs that adhere to IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO/EN 14971, and IEC 62304 standards is essential. · Experience with requirements management tools will be considered a plus. · Proficiency with modeling tools such as Matlab and Simulink is desirable. · Understanding of the FDA 510(k), PMA, and De Novo pre-market submission procedures is advantageous. · Experience in developing Class II and III medical devices is beneficial.
