1995 Mazda B2300 - This truck is basically a Ford Ranger. - I am the second owner. - I bought it with 79,000 miles on it and it now has 101,653 miles. The good: • Manual Transmission and good gas mileage. • Mark V camping topper. • Hard plastic bed liner. - I added clips for net due to sliding. • 3 seat belts in front bench seat. • 2 foldaway seats in back with belts. • Pull out cover to hide back seat. • All windows work in cab & topper. • A/C and heat work. • Full size spare tire. • Rims. • Timing belt replaced 5/2021. • New tires about 3 years ago. • Wheel cylinder replaced 10/2024. • New P Steering seals 9/2024. • New rear window struts 10/2023. The not so good: • ABS light on. - not on before parked 6 mo. ago. • I cannot find the original jack. • Headliner is cracked. • Topper roof rails need secured. - was this way when I bought it. • Screens off camper windows. - were missing when I bought it. • Dent in rear passenger side. • Arm rest storage cover missing. - was missing when I bought it. • Seats and floor mats are stained. - may need to clean or cover. • Small tear in driver side seat. • Cassette player eats tapes. - if anybody still has those. • Needs a paint job. • Clutch needs to be replaced. - bought a new clutch, slave, flywheel, and master cylinder line in 2/2025, but have not had time to replace it. - It drives, but clutch is loud. • Ignition switch went out 4/2024. - I bought a lock cylinder because the key just spun without engaging, but it is actually the actuator that needs to be replaced I removed lower dash and plastic on steering column (I have these parts in a box) to pull out the starting switch and have just manually started the engine to by-pass the switch and lock cylinder. I drove it like this for almost a year. I have the new lock cylinder, but have not bought the actuator. • Also because of the spinning lock cylinder, the truck thinks it is in the run position, so you cannot turn the radio off. I removed the fuse, but battery still kept going dead. I have now installed a remote kill switch to the negative battery cable. - You can choose to use the remote battery disconnect switch and drive it like it is, or you can replace the ignition switch plastic thing and install the new lock cylinder (your choice), but the clutch will need to be replaced with the included new clutch before too long. I have a video of the truck running and of the sound it makes when I step on the clutch.
