Required to move materials to and from storage areas into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities. Removes pallets of product from production line also will place pallets into predetermined sections of the warehouse or load onto trailers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inspects trailers before loading. Ensures pallet quantity and correct product is loaded and documents on bills of lading before placing pallets to be shipped into trailers. Receives raw materials from inbound trucks as required and ensure all documentation is accurate and signs for receipt of goods. Ensure production line is stocked with raw materials. Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure a clean and organized work area. Safety is the main responsibility of the forklift operator. Assists with any other duties as assigned by Transportation Team Lead. The Lift Operator must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure a clean and organized work area. Inventories materials on the work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed. Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device. Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
