Qualifications / Requirements: • Flux Core or MIG welding experience. • An ability to train in all aspects of heavy structural steel welding and fabrication, with the primary use of Flux Core processes in welding operations. • GMC trains employees extensively, so eagerness, energy, and desire to build a career are most important, and result in opportunities and advancement. • 10 hour shifts (M-F) with some 8 hour Saturday shifts are common, and a shift incentive is paid to the select employees working on GMC’s 2nd Shift. Start ASAP Established Sheet-metal/Machine shop looking for Grinders/Finisher Responsible for grinding, sanding and polishing various types of metal. Using hand tools, and power tools to ensure smooth surfaces. Assembling finished parts as needed Responsibilities ~ Grind, sand and polish production parts according to customer specifications ~ Ensures quality production through physical inspection. ~ Inspect parts for flaws and cracks. ~ Will frequently and repetitively be able to lift 50 lbs. ~ Maintains high level of accuracy, efficiency and safety, ensure quality standards and policy objectives are met by in-process inspection. ~ Experience with basic inspection equipment and small tools (calipers, grinders, measuring tape, etc.) ~ Ability to work overtime as needed to meet schedule requirements. ~ Willingness to follow instruction and help wherever needed in the shop. ~ Be self motivated, positive team-oriented attitude. ~ Must maintain a clean and safe working environment Employee is regularly exposed to vibration, moderate noise levels.
