Stanbridge University's science division is seeking applications for part-time faculty to join the General Education faculty community to provide instruction, guidance, and mentorship to the university's students. Reporting to the program's manager, the candidate will be responsible for providing a culture of educational effectiveness and excellence of student learning outcomes in science education. Essential Functions: Able to teach on-campus with a course assignment in: Pathophysiology Effectively delivers class instruction utilizing course syllabi and appropriate educational resources. Delivers learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to student learning and engagement while effectively planning and preparing for instruction and student success. Promotes student success by showing flexibility in style and strategies as well as exhibiting a passion for teaching and engaging students in the learning process. Assesses student work in a timely fashion and conveys feedback to students. Manages the learning environment by keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and administering academic and attendance policies. Participate in programmatic shared governance. Qualifications: MUST be willing to commute to at least one campus, but high preference if candidate can travel to more than one campus, NOT looking for remote only. A graduate-level or terminal degree in a science discipline from an accredited college or university. Instructors must have at least 15 semester credit hours (or equivalent) in the subject area they teach. A minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching adult learners in higher education preferred. Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. Action oriented, innovative thinking, and flexible. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work within a deadline-oriented environment. $35-$50/hr. Salary is dependent on experience and education. The Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking full-time clinical faculty candidates to join our preclinical medical education team. Candidates having earned a DO (preferred) or MD with active Board Certification from the AOA or ABMS in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Geriatrics or other primary care specialities will be considered. We are particularly interested in candidates with a desire to contribute to preclinical medical education. The position requires 3 days a week (24 hours) in-person and additional 8 hours for off campus work. Candidates with experience or ability to demonstrate interest in integrating the biomedical sciences into an innovative case-based, clinically oriented, system-based preclinical curriculum will be considered. While there is not a formal office hours requirement, it is expected that you will be available to students outside of class by email and by appointment as needed. Ensure that all assessments within the course are graded and returned to the students promptly. Mid-term grades are required to be submitted for traditional undergraduate classes. Final grades and all course obligations must be completed by the due date published by the Registrar each term, typically the week after finals. This is required for the adjunct assignment & contract to be considered satisfactorily fulfilled. Attendance records: North Park University is required by federal regulations to certify for financial aid purposes that students who receive a non-passing grade have attended classes and to also determine the last date they participated in an academic related activity. Thus, it is necessary for faculty to document the last date a student participated in an academically related activity which includes attending class, taking an exam, etc. Requirements Master’s degree in a related field.
