We have a large, artistic home in Takoma Park and we're looking for an easy-going, considerate, non-smoking housemate to share it with. Our house is relatively new - just 18 years old - but was built with a Victorian flair. It has 9 ft ceilings, oak and bamboo floors. The first floor has a living room, dining room, family room with fireplace, large kitchen with table and island, half-bath and laundry room. The back yard has a fire pit, deck, trampoline, and a large chicken coop and run which houses our flock of 10 hens. We have a friendly, medium-sized dog. The house is 1.5 miles from the metro and very close to Washington Adventist University, Montgomery College, and on the bus route to the University of Maryland. The bedroom has a large double window and is light-filled and spacious. It is furnished with a queen bed that adjusts, bookshelf, small dresser, bedside table, desk, chair, and lamps. You have a private full bath next to the bedroom. There is also a large family room in the basement shared by the household with a TV w/DVD player. The rent includes wireless internet, gas, water, electricity, a home phone, and a cleaning service twice/month!! We are a progressive couple with 15 year-old twins. We are vegetarians, although you do not need to be. I am an ESOL teacher and love to work in our garden. My spouse is an electrical engineer and loves to bike.
