Description

We are an independent contractor for FedEx Ground operating out of Oceanside. We are looking for high energy, qualified, and responsible delivery drivers to join our team. Must be able to start right away and commit to staying for at least 6 months. We provide training and certification! FULL TIME. Must be available 5 days a week. May include weekends. In your role as a FedEx driver, you will report to the FedEx Ground Terminal in Oceanside. Responsibilities include: scanning, delivering/picking up packages, pre and post trip vehicle inspection daily. IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THE DRIVER POSITION, YOU MUST HAVE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: - A valid regular driver's license (Class C) - Legal status to work in the USA - Clean driving record (no DUIs, cell phone tickets, reckless driving tickets, etc. in past 3 years. Minor tickets and accidents OK) - Clean criminal record (no major misdemeanors or felonies in past 10 years) - Able to pass physical (including drug test) - Clear a 10 year DOT background check - Must have conversational English - Must be punctual, energetic, reliable and honest - Must be at least 21 years of age - Excellent work ethic Please do NOT apply unless you meet ALL of the driver requirements listed above. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMCSA Clearinghouse review. • Willingness to travel as necessary within the district (customers’ yards, close geographical area and training sites), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment and education) and pass a drug screening. This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
