Requirements Job Summary: This position is an entry-level position within the manufacturing area, primarily responsible for performing weigh-up or packaging duties within the production department. Ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost and meets customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with Spartech policies and procedures. Essential Job Duties: Accomplish the duties of the job utilizing safe work habits and maintaining a safe workplace Required to assist operator in loaded and unloading slitter Required to assist operator during change over’s Required to inspect finished rolls, vacuum if dust is visible and inspect each roll for non-conforming characteristics [i.e., angel hair, loose rolls, roll weave or bad cuts] Must be able to read and understand shop orders Communicate with operator and shift lead Perform cleaning task of equipment and plant Stage rolls and other packaging items needed for production Maintain inventory moves into the MIS in an accurate and timely manner Remove roll, weigh, and properly package material from the slitters and move to the designated area in the warehouse Record daily total down time with reason codes Operate forklifts as required (Change batteries and do general maintenance as required) Must be able to work a full schedule workweek and fulfill overtime requirements as needed Per form SQC and quality testing, also responsible to cross check all paperwork and material labeling Cut cores/ cardboard per size stated on work order Receive any additional direction from operator Benefits Competitive pay based on experience. Join JC Grounds Management, a leading snow removal contractor, as a Salt Truck Operator (STO) for the upcoming winter season.  As a salt truck operator at JC Grounds Management, you will receive training on equipment safety, operation, path of motion, and product application.  Our fleet of application vehicles do not require a CDL license to operate however you must be comfortable operating a large truck during adverse weather conditions.  Most of the shifts occur between 6pm and 8am but can/will extend to anytime of the day especially following a winter event.  Salt truck operators need to be on-time and have a clean driving record.  They will also need to load their truck with material using a skid steer (training to be provided if necessary).  We are currently looking for operators to service routes dispatched from Chelmsford, Lowell, Billerica, Tewksbury, Wilmington areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for on-time and accurate shipping and delivery, ensuring that all items on Sales Orders are packaged and staged for order fulfillment. Record received inventory into the MRP system by ensuring items that are received match the Purchase Order and Packing Slip documentation. Loading and unloading trucks, wrapping products, packing, labeling, as well as operating a forklift when necessary. Responsible for product quality: reporting non-compliant parts and product to the appropriate managers. Pick parts to request and transact all inventory movements in ERP. Coordinate inventory workflows, maintain work order records, and perform cycle counts. Follow standard operating procedures and current quality specifications by having Working knowledge of standards and regulations as outlined in the QMS documentation and structure Operate within standard operating procedures and abide by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies. Active participant in continuous improvement projects pertaining to but not limited to the Shipping and Receiving areas. Utilize IT tools provided to ensure work is organized to prevent errors and omissions as well as efficient execution of duties Communicate professionally (written and oral); adhere to company policies and employee handbook. WHO YOU ARE: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Skilled in using hand and power tools, with working knowledge of basic welding, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: You are physically fit, energetic and self-motivated. You have the ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis. You have a “safety first” mindset and understand the importance of upholding safety standards. You are comfortable using computers and can navigate systems efficiently. You have experience with continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen) and manufacturing concepts.
