We are a provider of excavating, asphalt paving, tar chip paving, concrete construction, and general contracting services and have been in business for over 45 + years. The candidate will be responsible for but not limited to: • Produce and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive proposals. • Prepare and document quantity take-offs for materials and pricing. • Review and compare accurate job costs; perform job site visits as needed. • Evaluate bid documents and request material quotes. • Understand all pertinent bid documents • Assist in the pre-construction process upon project award and start-up. • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility to meet the needs of a growing company. Qualifications: • Experience in hard bid, conceptual, and estimating. • Knowledge of on-screen takeoff systems. • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy. • Minimum of 4 years of estimating experience required. • Highly motivated with strong organizational skills. • Quick learner, capable of mastering our estimating process. • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Ability to multi-task and balance priorities and deadlines across multiple projects. • Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. • BS degree in Construction or Engineering is preferable but not required. Hello Potential Woodworker/ Craftsman, Have a pretty fun project I'd like to get put into motion as quickly as possible. I picked up an old school bubble hockey table from the 80's that's in great shape mechanically. I have wanted one of these tables my entire life, but this particular table's cabinet is an eyesore.. however it was such a steal I couldn't turn it down. I decided to attempt to get the creative juices flowing to bring it back to life; envisioning converting it into a multi-functioning piece of furniture. A family friend was set to begin the project, and got to the point we have actually already have a design blueprint, but he unfortunately became chronically ill and is no longer able to assist. The project is well underway. A local artist painted and produced logos for my favorite players of current and yesteryear's Pittsburgh Penguins (he absolutely killed it). My sister is a graphic designer and has designed the ice surface with the current Penguin's logo at center ice with a mixture of current and old school company sponsor's logos. The vision: When the table is not in use, the bubble is removeable; when not in use the vision is that it can be used as a functioning table/ bar. The design is done, but I am more than open for suggestions or alterations that will make this thing as cool as it can be. I have absolutely zero wood working skills, have never done a project like this, but am very open minded to let the people with the real skills do their thing.
