About Valencia County Hospital: Local and state leaders broke ground on the new facility in November 2024 off the main I-25 Los Lunas exit. Construction will take a year and a half to build out the facility, which will eventually be run by a partnership between Community Hospital Corporation and Lovelace Health Systems. The hospital will have its own emergency department and two operating rooms, along with 11 in-patient rooms for overnight stays. Patients will have access to MRIs, X-rays, and a pharmacy. This role ensures efficient and cost-effective procurement, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment, while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing patient care. The Director will drive process improvements, manage vendor relationships, leverage Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts to maximize savings and standardization, and collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership to achieve organizational goals.
