Aethon is seeking a Development Engineer who will work with other Development team members to help optimize the value of company assets by assembling and implementing drilling programs, construction projects, or other business initiatives in alignment with corporate strategies and in accordance with sound reservoir management practice.  Requirements Perform technical assessments to help with creation of an asset development & risk mitigation plan for various investment opportunities across Aethon’s asset base Work together with teammates to optimize the hydrocarbon recovery and economic value of company assets using established reservoir engineering techniques along with emerging concepts.  Quantify and recommend optimal horizontal well placement and completion strategy. Provide input to rank various opportunities and allocate capital investment to help increase underlying asset value by growing new production and reserve additions.   Identify and optimize key drivers to maximize project economics. Provide input to short and long-term objective identification and help establish annual capital budgets and production forecasts Assemble and maintain detailed full life production and capital investment models that form the basis of corporate budget, long range plans, and reserve books. Help assemble and deliver budget and project related communications with Senior Management. Collaborate with other Aethon teams including Drilling, Completions, Geology, Production, Midstream, Marketing, Land and Production to provide planning and reservoir performance inputs and to assure seamless project coordination throughout the well delivery process. Monitor actual performance against budget and identify mitigations plans to ensure targets are met. Support Reserves Team to help maintain company reserve books.  Provide planning support to help ensure that operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner in compliance with all regulatory requirements  Personal and Technical Skills: Effective collaboration within the Development Team and with multi-disciplinary teammates. Reservoir Engineering aptitude to diagnose reservoir performance and optimize depletion strategies. Sound business judgement to apply corporate strategies and provide appropriate inputs to management for future updates. Ability to identify and solve complex problems in a team environment at a fast pace. Well-developed writing and interpersonal communication skills. Some knowledge of required business systems and regulatory compliance requirements High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
