You do NOT need to have previous experience working with people with disabilities. You just need to be willing to help! I am a 31-year-old with Muscular Dystrophy. This is a part-time or full-time job! I’m looking to fill weekday and weekend shifts. The schedule is created around the availability the employee submits during the interview process. This job includes helping me get in and out of bed, showering, cooking, cleaning, etc. Basically, anything you do on a daily basis, I need help with. I depend on my assistants to live and thrive, so this job requires a lot of maturity and responsibility and, most importantly, open communication. I'm typically looking for someone who’s open-minded, social, fun, and reliable. The ideal candidate is fit, strong, reliable, and punctual. The candidate would also be a good listener, able to learn new skills quickly, and have good communication skills. A little bit about me: I moved to LA after graduating college and to pursue a career in screenwriting and directing. I’m very social and love going to concerts, hiking on wheelchair accessible trails, hanging out with friends, reading, writing, and playing with my service dog.
