Charming, quiet craftsman home available in central richmond (North & East) for the month of October, with the potential to be available as early as Sept 20. 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom that sits between the rooms - one bedroom is set up as a primary room with a queen bed, dresser, and bookshelves. The other bedroom is being used as an office with a standing desk, but also has a pullout sofa and can be used as a room or guest room. Large kitchen features modern amenities including dishwasher, disposal, gas range, and large 2-door fridge. Washer/dryer are available in the kitchen. Separate dining room looks out onto the large bougainvillea, and the living room windows are filled with sun & a large tree. The front door opens into a mud room that provides space for shoes & coats and separation from the living room. The space feels green, peaceful and quiet. Home furnishings are in a mid century modern style and feature vintage rugs, linens, etc. The home stays cool on hot days and is generally cooler than the outside. Floor furnace is available if needed. There is a frame tv ready for use and connected to a few streaming accounts. The kitchen opens to a large redwood deck and private yard. There is room for 1 car in the driveway in front of the side gate, and room for another car if needed behind the gate. A few gorgeous walks are available within a 10 min drive of the house - either up to wildcat canyon to walk with the cows and get a beautiful 360 view of the water, or out to the richmond shoreline to either walk around the cute neighborhood there (good for barhopping or going to dinner) or hiking the hills by the shore. Catahoula coffee, factory bar, and taqueria el Tucan are about a 5 minute drive from the house. Richmond bart station or the richmond ferry launch are also about a 10 minute drive - the train will take you into Oakland / Berkeley / sf and the ferry is a delightful way to get into the city in about 30 minutes. Without traffic it’s regularly a ~12 minute drive to Berkeley, ~20 mins to Oakland, or ~30 mins to sf (though ~45 mins into the city in rush hour). Good for 1-2 people and set up for comfortable working from home. Take advantage of the deck to take calls in the sunshine or stretch out with coffee. Generally quiet neighborhood and loving neighbors. Please contact with a few details about yourself and desired length of stay to apply. Thank you!
