HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Our Stamping Die Tuner will be responsible for: Executing stamping die modifications based on engineering requests within the prescribed time frame and quality requirements Mentoring of additional team members as assigned by manager Knowledge and understanding of the HIROTEC Die process and philosophy Evaluate necessary changes to improve surface and dimensional issues of sheet metal panels as defined by stamping engineering Utilize various troubleshooting techniques of stamping dies including split, wrinkle, spring back and distortion and implementation of necessary corrective actions Ability to communicate with internal die tryout team and internal engineering team on status’ including timing, quality, and progress of assigned dies Work skills include general understanding of die construction, general die disassembly/assembly, check line dies in spotting press, flame harden dies, panel nesting, die static and dynamic checks, welding, grinding/stoning/polishing, surface check in press and under lights, spotting, Class A surface adjustment, die set into press, press operation including tonnage and cushion adjustment, press maintenance, read engineering change request, inner/outer pad bearing adjustment, and dimensional review in checking fixture Requirements The ideal candidate will have: 3-5 years’ experience in tooling/die repair Previous experience operating an overhead crane and a Hi-Lo Candidate must have own tools and experience in automotive manufacturing Ability to read and understand the part engineering drawings Willingness and ability to follow the rules for a safe workplace Understand basic shop math and knowledge of different measuring tools Benefits HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc. offers an excellent total compensation package including: Multiple Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plan Options Company Paid Disability & Basic Life Insurance HSA & FSA (including dependent care) Options Education Assistance Program Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) with Company Match And more!     HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to an applicant’s or employee’s race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status or any other legally protected status.

KEY SUCESS FACTORS: 1 Month Goals: o Complete all company training o Gain familiarity with Qualitel’s internal software tools and systems o Demonstrate proficiency using basic test equipment (DMMs, o-scopes, power supplies) o Identify and troubleshoot basic manufacturing errors (e.g., solder bridges, backwards/missing components) 3 Month Goals: o Independently perform functional testing and initial troubleshooting on assigned PCBAs o Accurately document failures and root causes in accordance with company procedures o Begin interpreting schematics and test documents to troubleshoot to component level 6 Month Goals: o Routinely troubleshoot complex PCBA failures down to the component level o Act as a resource for newer technicians; provide informal guidance or peer training o Identify and recommend process or documentation improvements to enhance yield and efficiency o Take ownership of select product lines or test areas; drive quality and throughput PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  Perform functional testing and debug of PCBAs using standard electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, Automated Test Equipment, etc.).  Troubleshoot failed PCBAs and identify manufacturing defects such as shorts, opens, missing or reversed components.  Interpret schematics, drawings, and test documentation to isolate and resolve issues down to the component level.  Maintain detailed failure documentation and test records for traceability and process improvement.  Support production, quality, and engineering teams by providing feedback on test results and recurring failure trends.  Participate in test development and continuous improvement initiatives.  Ensure all work is completed accurately, on time, and within established labor standards. This position is for first shift with overtime available who can: • Perform setups and operation of 7-axis CNC lathes, screw machines, and Multi-axis turret machines. • Retrieve machine programs from database, create/read tool lists for job. • Accurately set tools and work offsets. Change tooling as needed to restore operation. • Ensure produced parts meet drawing specifications with standard inspection instruments. • Able to troubleshoot and perform basic edits of G-code to solve problems. • Read CMM reports and adjust machine offsets as needed. • Follow work instructions and communicate with Supervisor. • Train machine operators on any job that you set up. • Deburring of parts when needed. • Perform basic machine maintenance. • Keep work area clean and organized.
