Utilize measurement and testing equipment effectively to ensure accurate results. Assist in the development of quality control procedures for incoming materials. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred. Proven experience in quality control or materials inspection within the plastics industry. Familiarity with measurement and testing equipment used in material analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and suppliers. Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Office and data entry software. JACO Machine Works is an AS9100 certified machine shop supporting the medical, aerospace and semiconductor industries. We are in immediate need of a CNC lathe machinist for our growing operation. This position is for first shift with overtime available who can: • Perform setups and operation of 7-axis CNC lathes, screw machines, and Multi-axis turret machines. • Retrieve machine programs from database, create/read tool lists for job. • Accurately set tools and work offsets. Change tooling as needed to restore operation. • Ensure produced parts meet drawing specifications with standard inspection instruments. • Able to troubleshoot and perform basic edits of G-code to solve problems. • Read CMM reports and adjust machine offsets as needed. • Follow work instructions and communicate with Supervisor. • Train machine operators on any job that you set up. • Deburring of parts when needed. • Perform basic machine maintenance. • Keep work area clean and organized.
