We have an opening for a qualified individual to join our team. The position is for a CNC machinist with 2-5 years of experience with mill and lathe setup, operation, and inspection. - Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other equipment to produce parts in accordance with customer specifications. - Maintain standard production rates and low waste. Meet all stated customer requirements. - Interpret part prints and measure parts to maintain acceptance levels. - Maintain a clean work area to support efficiency, quality, and safety. - Continually monitor machine operation and perform in-process inspections to ensure accurate product measurements are maintained. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Cut, fit, weld, and grind and prep various aluminum parts to match plans, using bandsaws, drills, milling machines and hand tools • TIG welding of aluminum sheet metal, pipe and bar stock to meet quality standards • Make weekly deliveries and material pickups, using Company vehicle • Read and interpret plans and technical drawings. Manage workload to meet shipping schedules. • Daily responsibilities vary: Welding approx. 20-40% of the time, general fabrication 40-60%, and 20-40% of the time performing a variety of other tasks as needed Required qualifications: • TIG welding aluminum experience (Weld Test required), with industry or vocational school experience. Certifications preferred, but not required. • Clean driving record (no DWIs or excessive tickets) • Commitment to details, with solid math, mechanical and technical skills • Flexible personality, eager to learn new skills, and contribute to the growth of the company.
