We are seeking an experienced Carpenter or Shop Foreman to join our dynamic team and help run the daily operations of our millwork shop. This position is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team from the ground up and grow with the company. Health insurance is offered after a 90-day probationary period. Key Responsibilities: Oversee production process, from purchasing materials to final product, and ensuring timely completion. Supervise shop personnel and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications. Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and design plans. Organize and delegate tasks efficiently. Manage multiple jobs simultaneously. Maintain a safe and organized work environment while meeting project deadlines. Collaborate with project manager to ensure client satisfaction. Perform quality checks and troubleshoot installation issues as they arise. Qualifications: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a millwork or woodworking environment. Strong ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and technical drawings Expertise in installing custom millwork with a focus on precision and craftsmanship. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Knowledge of tools, techniques, and materials specific to high end millwork and installation. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel within the NYC area. NYC SST and OSHA 10/30 certified. This is for a light manufacturing position. Responsibilities include: Sewing the filters (on a stand up chain stitch sewing machine), cutting filter pads, pre-assemble air filters, and also working in the warehouse. Warehouse duties include helping loading and unloading trucks, pulling orders, etc. You may be asked to do other duties outside these listed. You should have a responsible and positive attitude. Requires walking, standing, and working on your feet. Previous experience not required. This job is full or part time. Principal Responsibilities Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures. Obtain components from stock/production. Set-up equipment to match product requirements. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate good communication skills. Inspect completed parts. Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets. Correctly label all parts and boxes as needed. Visually inspect all incoming pipes, components, and gaskets for defects. Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. Maintains a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending training that is provided where required. Maintains a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training when required. Assist in the coordination, preparation, and execution of year-end inventory.
