Duties & Responsibilities Monitor and maintain the proper functionality of the mail sorting systems conveyor to ensure continuous mail flow. Efficiently place orders in EMM trays and prepare them for shipment according to established guidelines. Handle expedited orders by placing them in expedited envelopes, ensuring they are ready for timely delivery. Review the primary sort to monitor for ongoing activity changes and adjust processes as needed. Conduct mailroom audits regularly to verify accuracy and compliance with company standards. Match multiple quantity orders accurately and prepare them for outgoing shipment. Ensure that all packages are properly labeled for delivery vendors, and move Gaylords using a hand jack for pallets to facilitate the loading process. Upon the arrival of shipping carriers, move pallets into trailers using a hand jack, preparing them for outgoing delivery. Generate and submit detailed mail reports and required paperwork in a timely manner. Collaborate with management to identify potential delays, resolve delivery issues, and perform other duties as assigned. Salary & Benefits Competitive hourly pay: $17.00 per hour. Opportunity for temp-to-hire placement, providing growth and advancement potential. Full-time position with rotating shifts, including every other weekend. All breaks and lunch periods are paid: 2 paid 15-minute breaks and 1 paid 30-minute lunch per shift. Qualifications & Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Proficiency in pushing and pulling floor pallet jacks as needed for mail and package movement. Physical stamina to work and stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift. Willingness to work a rotating schedule, which includes some weekends. Attention to detail for mail sorting, labeling, and reporting tasks. Adaptable and able to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
