FUN.com, home of HalloweenCostumes.com, Halloween.com, and so much more, is looking for an Inventory Manager for our state-of-the-art Elsmere, Kentucky distribution center! Do you see inventory as one big, glorious game of Tetris – where every piece has its perfect place and leaving gaps is simply not an option? As our Inventory Manager, you’ll be leading the way for our Inventory Team to ensure that our L-blocks and long bars (er... product) are precisely in the right place at the right time. You’ll use spreadsheets and KPIs as your scoreboards, and balance supply & demand like a pro gamer chasing a high score, keeping stock levels tight and processes efficient. Bonus points if you hum the Tetris theme song while doing it (we don’t judge). Your mission, should you choose to accept it:  Manage stock availability and levels at all times to meet current and anticipated business demand, ensuring sufficient inventory in the right place at the right time, forecasting workforce and product placement needs, adjusting warehouse floor and racking space for workflow optimization, and minimizing costs and other types of losses.  Lead, train, motivate, and support inventory team members on task execution, including but not limited to receiving, bin running, bin filling, QC audits, and cycle counting, delegating as necessary to achieve effective oversight across all areas. Determine work priorities, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow. Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Responsible for weekly, monthly and yearly labor planning, staffing and schedule building.  Utilize inventory management technology, scorecards, KPIs, and reporting to meet the labor needs (short and long-term), efficiently utilize warehouse space, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. Ensure proper staffing levels to maintain essential work completion, ownership, and execution. Take action to ensure appropriate adjustments to meet department goals and targets.  Forecast and continuously monitor workload gap calculations throughout day to determine and communicate surplus/deficit in hours needed with all departments.  Develop and implement innovative procedures for efficient, accurate, and timely inventory control, identify bottlenecks, and suggest solutions for optimization. Perform regular audits to verify accuracy, research, and resolve issues with inventory discrepancies.  Work closely with the General Manager and other site leadership promoting and actively engaging in continuous communication and collaboration to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including resource allocation, workflow optimization, space utilization, quality assurance, accurate ERP information.  Promote and demonstrate FUN.com’s core values through words and actions: Focus on the Positive, Be Humble, Embrace Nerdy Goofy Fun, and Never Be Complacent.  Promote and sustain a fun and inclusive work environment where all team members can be their FUN-of-a-kind selves and actively contribute their thoughts, ideas, and work to the continuous improvement of what we do.  Other duties and responsibilities in accordance with the full job description and as assigned. About you:  High School Diploma.  At least 3 years of leadership experience at the supervision level and above. Previous accountability for department management preferred. Formal leadership training preferred.  At least 2 years of order fulfillment experience.  Prior experience operating powered material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, scissor lifts, etc.  Manager-level communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey vision, expectations, and strategic priorities throughout the department, while actively engaging with feedback from team members and site leadership.  Advanced relationship management and interpersonal leadership, fostering strong cross-departmental collaboration and building a culture of trust, accountability, and teamwork.  Strategic operational planning and problem-solving expertise, combining creative problem-solving and critical thinking to simplify complex challenges, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions that eliminate recurrence while driving continuous improvement.  Decisive leadership grounded in data insights, using analytics and operational metrics to guide decisions that balance short-term efficiency with long-term strategic goals, and communicating those decisions in ways that inspire confidence and execution.  Organizational agility, capable of adjusting workforce strategies, resource allocation, and technology adoption to align with changing business needs, supply chain disruptions, or evolving customer demands.  Technical and systems proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse management systems, inventory control platforms, and ERP software, ensuring operational data is leveraged to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
