Pay Range: $31.00 - $38.00 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assigns and evaluates the direct nursing care given by Certified Nursing Assistants on the assigned unit. Gives and records medications and treatments and evaluates the effectiveness of these medications and treatments by applying education, experience and nursing knowledge. Orders floor stock medications as is necessary. Makes rounds on the floor and visits residents daily. Keeps the Shift Supervisor and/or Director of Health Services and/or Assistant Director of Nursing/Physician informed, both orally and in writing, of any changes in the residents’ conditions. Supervises assigned staff and makes recommendations regarding performance evaluations and discipline. Trains assigned staff in routine tasks as necessary. Attends scheduled staff meetings, in‑service training and properly participates in fire and disaster drills. Assists with completion of MDS as needed Enters or assures that all appropriate resident data is entered into the medical record, electronically and hand written. Supervises Restorative Care and resident activities. Makes accurate admission and ongoing assessments of residents in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and responds appropriately. Responsible for inventory and safe storage of all medical supplies and equipment. Conveys information is a concise, accurate and understandable manner. Displays attentiveness, tact and diplomacy in responding to others. Assures that staff, contractors and vendors, residents and visitors, etc., know and follow established policies and procedures. Performs all assigned duties in a professional manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Supervises, trains and evaluates assigned staff. May participate in counseling of staff. Assists in developing departmental policies and procedures. Requirements Any combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge and abilities listed, typically: · Possesses a current license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California, and possesses a current CPR certificate. TITLE: Cardiovascular Tech / Cardiac Cath Lab Tech / RCIS / RT(R, CV) LOCATION: Huron, Ohio   An opportunity to work in north central Ohio for an established healthcare system of 400 beds that serves four counties. What you will be doing: •Provides professional, highly technical cardiovascular care to all cardiovascular patients, while assisting physicians during all cardiovascular procedures.  Functions as a liaison for patients, families, and physicians.  Assists the physician in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures. •Assists with setting up cardiac cath lab procedure rooms by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment. •Knowledge of equipment utilized in procedures, pressure monitoring, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, EKG interpretation, sterile technique, and radiation safety practices. •Proficient in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring for all Cath Lab procedures. •Inspects and prepares operative area as necessary. •Communicates relevant procedural information to physician and ancillary personnel. •Observes sterile technique and proper disposal of infected materials. •Records EKG information, samples and records pressure tracings, and informs appropriate personnel of changes during procedure.  Maintains complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures.  Ensures completion of all registry abstracts. Prepares patient for emergency coronary artery bypass graft by completing proper documentation, sending necessary blood work to lab, and notifying CV team. •Documents all medications given, contrast injections, and attempts at vessel modification (e.g. inflations, shaves, stent placement) and other pertinent information regarding procedure. •Responds to emergency situations appropriately and calls for assistance as needed.  Provides post-catheterization information to patient and significant others. •Assists cardiologist during procedures in team role by supplying equipment and anticipating routine and special needs. •Assists in room clean-up after cases, and prepares room for next case. •Performs digital imaging techniques, maintains archival storage of digitized data. •Collects and enters correct information required for ACC Data Submission. •Demonstrates knowledge of all supplies (catheters, guide wires, etc.) and assists with tracking supplies used to aid in proper billing and inventory control. •Collaborates with other members of health team to determine and achieve healthcare goals. Demonstrates comprehension of cardiac pharmacology. •Attain working knowledge of the ability to trouble-shoot Cath Lab job-related equipment. •Remove arterial and venous sheaths and complete documentation.  Maintain current knowledge of closure devices presently in use and aid with their deployment and post-care. Requirements What they are looking for: •Current licensure in the State of Ohio as RCIS; RT(R, CV); prefer three years catheterization experience. •Attain and maintain current ACLS certification.  Attain and maintain current BLS certification. Benefits Hours and compensation potential: •Position is full time day shift 7:30am-4:00pm. Call is rotated every 3 weeks for evenings/weekends and requires a 30 minute response time. They offer call rooms if needed.  •Range starts at $29hr-$36.33hr based on experience. On call pay is $4/hour. If called in, receive 1.5x hourly rate(minimum pay if called in will be 1 hour of pay).  A full benefit package as well is included and a $20,000 retention bonus, payable in 3 installments at 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year. We have a new opening for a full time NP at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City, Louisiana.  Core Duties: The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) works as an independent health care provider of a primary care team. The practitioner is self-directed and has a high level of independence. The FNP may have a defined enrolled population of adult and geriatric patients aged 18 years and older, uses the results of health assessment tools and data to assist patients in obtaining an appropriate level of care and resources. As a member of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Care Team, coordinates patient care through a continuum facilitating the achievement of optimal outcomes in clinical, quality and cost-effectiveness arenas. Provides direct clinical care to patients requiring the intervention of a mid-level provider and providing patient education and medication guidance as needed to patients. Uses population health guidelines to ensure patients receive appropriate clinical preventive services. Reviews diagnosis and medical records for active-duty members to determine pre-deployment and post deployment fitness and health concerns. Evaluates and responds to telephone consultations/MHS Genesis In-Between encounters from patients and other staff members. Provides risk factor counseling and preventive services. Prioritizes identified risk factors and triages/refers patients to Specialty Services, Health and Wellness Center (HAWC), or other prevention programs as appropriate. Uses and develops protocols in conjunction with existing clinical guidelines. Develops tools, monitors metrics to evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of programs and the health of the defined population. Knows scope of practice for support staff and offers opportunities for their personal and professional development. Guides support staff in gaining breadth and depth of experience in order to enhance delivery of patient care. Conduct medical assessments to determine deployment status in a private setting. Conduct pre-deployment review of health record for any conditions that may impact deployment status. Review the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to identify current prescribed medications and discuss current use of over-the-counter medications and supplements with the patient. Verify all medications are compatible with Area of Responsibility (AOR) restrictions; initiate waivers as applicable and notify Public Health and Deployment Waiver Manager. Provide health education and information and recommend medical referrals/follow-up for deployment-related health concerns as indicated and/or aligned with appropriate Clinic Practice Guidelines (CPGs). A complete and legible copy of DRHAs 1-5 must be documented in the deployer’s EHR. Ensure Service Members have access to comprehensive counseling on the full range of methods for contraception, pregnancy, pregnancy prevention and menstrual suppression, as applicable and directed by DHA-PI and prescribe specific deployment medications as indicated by Public Health and deployment location. Make deployment determination and indicate clearance status in the ASIMS DMC module. Update ASIMS DD Form 2766 IAW AFMAN 41-210. Coordinate referrals with deployer’s PCM via T-CON, as applicable. In most cases a referral to the Internal Behavioral Health Consultant (IBHC) in Primary Care is appropriate for an initial referral for mental health care (where the Behavioral Health Optimization Program [BHOP] is available). Complete the Health-Care Provider portion of the medical waiver packages for deployment limiting conditions, as directed by BOMC standard work process. Capture active component DRHA workload using the provider’s Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System code. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm, including a one hour lunch Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Education: Master in Nursing from accredited program (ACEN or CCNE) Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent post-grad NP clinical experience Licensure: Active, unrestricted license as an NP in any state Board Certification: ANCC or AANP for Nurse Practitioner Life Support Certification: Maintain current BLS Healthcare Provider certification from AHA or ARC.
