Part-Time Sales Consultant (Brattleboro)

Location: Brattleboro, Vermont (Hybrid) Company: Winterland Marketing Compensation: $32/hour, 10 hours/week to start Type: Contract, with potential for expansion ABOUT US Winterland Marketing is a Brattleboro-based digital marketing agency focused on digital advertising and search engine optimization. We help businesses grow through smart, effective, and ethical marketing. We’re a small, collaborative team that values transparency, creativity, and initiative. THE ROLE We’re looking for a part-time sales consultant to help grow our client base and build relationships in the local business community. This is a flexible, hybrid position that combines remote work with in-person outreach. You’ll be responsible for driving new business, managing client relationships, and helping shape the direction of our sales efforts. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys meeting new people, understands (or is eager to learn about) digital marketing, and is looking to lay the foundation for a larger sales role in the future. WHAT YOU'LL DO Identify and engage potential clients in the Brattleboro area Conduct outreach through networking, cold calls, walk-ins, referrals, and online research Build and maintain relationships with local businesses Understand client needs and present solutions clearly Conduct presentations and demos (online and in person) Help develop sales materials and presentations Use tools like Slack, Paymo, and Google Slides to stay organized Manage leads and track progress Provide excellent service during and after the sales process Attend a weekly check-in meeting at our Brattleboro office Represent Winterland Marketing in the community with professionalism and authenticity WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Proven experience in sales, ideally in digital marketing, advertising, or related fields Comfortable initiating conversations with business owners—online, on the phone, or in person Familiarity with CRMs and digital tools (or willingness to learn) Basic understanding of SEO, digital advertising, and online marketing (or willingness to learn) Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences Self-directed, organized, and able to manage your own schedule Local to Brattleboro and familiar with the small business landscape Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Bonus: Graphic design or presentation-building skills (Canva, Google Slides) Bonus: Experience with project management tools WHY JOIN US?
