IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for the Laboratory Technician position at its facility in Greeley, CO. Ideal candidates will possess the following: - A high school diploma or GED (required); an Associate’s Degree in Chemistry or related field (preferred) - 1+ years of laboratory experience (preferred) - Experience with food testing and/or analytical instrumentation (preferred) - Strong attention to detail - Proficiency with data entry and computer applications - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory This is a position in wet chemistry and duties will include: gravimetric/titrimetric testing methods (pH, moisture, fat, protein), sample receiving, preparing samples for analysis, analyzing samples via written SOPs, evaluating/interpreting data, troubleshooting problems, disposing of samples, cleaning/sanitizing the laboratory and equipment, performing daily QC, and other duties as assigned. Sample preparation coverage in our Microbiology Lab when necessary. The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 hourly (DOE). This is a full-time position eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:30am – 4pm (with a 30 min lunch off the clock).
