About Us We’re a growing homebuilding company serving the Treasure Valley and Tri-Cities (Columbia Basin) area—far more than a drafting outfit. Our HQ is based in Richland, WA, however, we also have an office in Nampa and build in the Treasure Valley. Our team designs and constructs quality residential homes from the ground up, and we need a CAD Drafter who understands the big picture. We build homes in the Tri-Cities and Boise areas and take pride in the craftsmanship, design, and experience we provide for each home we build. Overview We are seeking a CAD Drafter to join our team and our small office in Nampa. We are interested in either experienced or fresh-out-of-school candidates. If you are experienced, you can hit the ground running. Otherwise, we'll help guide you with our existing team. This person will be working on drafting plans for both Washington and Idaho. The ideal candidate will be proficient in any CAD software and possess a strong understanding of design principles. We use Chief Architect, however, you don't have to have experience with Chief (if you do, that's a bonus, and let us know). Experience with AutoDesk Revit or other software is fine. We'll teach you Chief Architect, you bring the willingness and ability to learn new software. You'll be creating new floorplans, 3D models/renders, modifying existing plans, and creating permit documents, and field layouts, among others! If you have a passion for design and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you. Other duties may include helping with purchasing, updating, or working on our online site, etc. Responsibilities • Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using Chief Architect. • Produce full plan sets, detail beams/brace walls/footings, ensure IRC & local-code compliance, collaborate on revisions, document drawings. • Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients, ensuring timely updates. • Maintain organized documentation of all design files and revisions. • Other duties as needed - sometimes other team members need a helping hand catching up. Duties may include: • Assisting in updating websites and online portals • Purchasing and bid procurement - build scopes of work to define the expected quality of materials for future bidding. • Assisting our project manager with service coordination • In the field Quality Control work Qualifications • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or preferably Chief Architect. • A foundational understanding of spatial awareness when developing or modifying floorplans. • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing individual tasks effectively. • Strong communication skills to convey design concepts clearly to team members. • Computer literate with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Willing to be flexible and have a great attitude Join us as we push the boundaries of design innovation!
