Strong communication skills and a composed demeanor in challenging situations. Flexibility and reliability to meet the demands of per diem assignments. Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills for accurate interpretation. Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations. Preferred: Completion of a 60-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course from a well-regarded institution. Requirements: • MSW from an accredited school of social work, LCSW or LICSW required, current BLS Certification required • 1 year of experience working with the frail elder population (paid or volunteer experience). • 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year was in providing direct behavioral health therapy to an adult population. • Basic skills for Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and Outlook. • 2 or more years of geriatric experience preferred. • Experience with dementia care, substance abuse and end of life care preferred. • Critical thinking skills to problem solve individually and in a team setting • Bilingual a plus; English/Spanish or English/Haitian Creole.
