Saalex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer and Information Research Scientist specializing in Logistics Information Technology to join our dynamic team. Position Type: Full-Time/Contingent Salary: $80K-$250K (depending on experience) Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office. Essential Functions: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT integration, business processes, technical solutions, data analytics, and the latest technologies such as XR (Extended Reality). This role involves developing and implementing advanced IT solutions to optimize logistics operations and enhance decision support systems. The candidate will conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or solutions integrators optimizing the application of IT. Develop solutions to problems regarding the integration of business processes, shared technical standards (DoD and Industry), and IT. Apply expertise to support program development, project execution, business and technical operations, evaluation of technical solutions, strategic initiatives, workforce development, or to support technical and organizational efforts to apply new IT (hardware and software) tools into effective and efficient performance support tools used within U.S. Navy Logistics. Other duties as assigned or required. Requirements Required: At least 7 years of experience within the last 10 years is required in support of technical and organizational tasks for AIA S-Series standards and ALEs, Navy IETMs, ICW, Decision Support Systems, Data Analytics, or XR technology. At least 4 years of experience is required in support of integrating, validating, verifying, or performing data transformation for IETMs, ICW, LSA databases, NAVAIR data repositories, or platform direct provided data. Specific required experience may be concurrent. Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Computer Science/IT, or Technical discipline and 7 years of experience, OR AA/AS degree and 11 years of experience, OR HS Diploma/GED and 13 years of experience required. Desired: CEH, CISSP, CASP+, GCLD, or RCCE certification. Security Clearance: Full or Interim Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc. Education/Experience:  BA/BS degree in an Engineering, Computer Science/IT, or Technical discipline and 7 years of experience, OR AA/AS degree and 11 years of experience, OR HS Diploma/GED and 13 years of experience required.
