The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes. The Heavy Equipment Operator will work on a variety of projects, including construction, demolition, and excavation. The candidate must be able to operate equipment safely and efficiently to ensure the timely completion of projects. Responsibilities: - Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes. - Work and alternate with team members to accomplish ground tasks. (“That’s not my job” attitude will not be tolerated) - Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as checking fluid levels and replacing filters. - Follow safety procedures and adhere to company policies. - Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects. - Read and interpret blueprints and other project documentation. - Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the quality of work. - Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors. - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment. - Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment maintenance. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documentation. - Good communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines. - Valid driver's license. - Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred.
