Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled, self-motivated Marine Mechanic to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a deep knowledge of gas and diesel marine engines, drive systems, electrical systems, and general boat maintenance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in doing the job right the first time. We would also consider an experienced Automotive Technician who is looking to grow in the marine industry. This individual would need to possess strong diagnostic skills and the motivation to learn boat mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities Include: · - Diagnose, repair, and maintain inboard, outboard, and sterndrive marine engines · - Perform seasonal engine servicing, winterization, and spring commissioning · - Troubleshoot and install marine electrical systems, batteries, and charging systems · - Repair and install steering, controls, fuel systems, and hydraulic components · - Assist with haul-outs, launches, and on-location emergency service calls · - Maintain service records and work orders with attention to detail · - Communicate clearly with customers and project managers Preferred Qualifications: · - 2+ years of professional marine mechanic experience · - ABYC or OEM certifications (Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, etc.) a plus · - Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills · - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varied weather conditions · - Welding, fiberglass, or paint experience a plus · - Reliable transportation to 50 Ferry Road, South Hero, VT Why Work With Us: · - Competitive pay · - Supportive, experienced, and local team · - Work on a variety of interesting projects · - Beautiful lakeside location · - Steady, year-round work in a growing business To Apply: Email your resume and a brief note to service@rosenmarine.com or visit us in person at our South Hero shop.
