REQUIRED SKILLSETS include: *Fabrication of jewelry from sheet and wire in mixed gold and silver, solid gold, and solid silver *Alloying metal from 24K to various other karats and colors *Milling/and rolling and drawing out ingots *Stone setting (tube, bezel, prong, flush, pavé...) *Operating a laser welder *Polishing *Performing repairs such as resizing rings, replacing/resetting stones, adding safety chains, re-tipping prongs, adding tiffany beads, replacing watch batteries, etc… *Trouble shooting design elements with our sales team *A willingness to learn from our team, and share your own knowledge in turn BONUS SKILLSETS include: *Knowledge of/ability to operate casting *Knowledge of/ability to design in CAD/CAM *Jewelry sketching *Strong customer-facing skills YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES, broadly put, will be to work on a wide variety of projects. You will be producing products from our mixed-metal jewelry line, fabricating gold rings and setting stones, and taking on a variety of custom projects A bench test will be required before any offer of employment. You will be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing issues in electrical, plumbing, and appliances, and preparing vacant apartments for new residents. You will also participate in the emergency on-call rotation. What You'll Do Below is a snapshot of what this role is all about. While there is more to it, this is the core focus. Maintenance Tasks Perform daily maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliances. Respond promptly to maintenance requests. Apartment Preparation Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using the Make Ready Checklist. Property Inspection and Safety Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness. Conduct regular inspections of common area systems. Exterior Maintenance Maintain the exterior of the property and pool areas. Communication and Reporting Communicate with vendors and contractors. Report inventory needs and potential liabilities. Compliance and Safety Ensure compliance with Fairfield policies and procedures. Respond to on-call emergencies and assist with resident notices.
