Meyer Sign Company of Oregon, Inc. (Tigard / SW Portland, Oregon) has current openings for apprentice-level electrical sign installers. You do NOT need to have previous sign installation experience to be considered. We are looking for someone who is “handy,” someone who has basic construction-type knowledge who is looking for a career and not just a job. Qualified candidates will need to enroll in the Oregon JATC Sign Installer Apprenticeship Program. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of high school or college algebra (with a C average), a working knowledge of hand tools, tape measurer, etc., the ability to pass a drug screening test, a valid and insurable driver’s license within Oregon and Washington and a desire to learn a trade that can keep you gainfully employed your entire working career. We offer a very competitive wage and benefits package including a company matching retirement plan, medical and dental package, vacation and sick-pay, etc. Starting wage is $28.50 per hour (based on the Oregon JATC Sign Installer program) with bi-annual increases as you progress through the program.
