Metal Fabricator Lead (Minden)

Public Restroom Company designs, builds, and installs prefabricated restrooms and related buildings for parks and outdoor spaces. We are currently looking for a Metal Fabricator/Welder Lead to join our team at our Minden plant. This position will lead the Team responsible for welding and fabricating the steel frames and roofs of our buildings. Essential Job Functions may include the following or other duties as assigned: • Provide daily direction to the metal fabrication department • Coach and develop metal fabricators/welders • Welding and fabrication of structural steel beams for building frames • Welding and fabrication of tubular steel frames for High Vandal Resistant roofs • Plasma cutting • Roof finishing • Design, fabricate, and assemble other components as necessary • Review plans and identify required materials for production • Communicate and coordinate with other production department leads • Perform a variety of manual labor tasks incidental to trade and craft work requiring application of knowledge and experience gained on similar assignments • Remains alert for hazards involved on the job site and observe OSHA safety, MSHA and operating rules and regulations Requirements/Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • 5+ years of experience in welding/metal fabrication • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints • Previous experience in leading a team • Must be able to weld steel beams and frames • Strong working knowledge of basic hand tools • Must be comfortable in a factory setting • Must be willing to be cross trained in other functions/skills such as carpentry, maintenance, concrete, etc. • Highschool diploma/equivalent, preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
