Work is performed under regular supervision on military installations. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repair of sewer and storm water systems including pipes, manholes, catch basins, and lift stations Perform inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of sewer lines, lift stations, pumps, manholes, and alarms Perform inspections cleaning, maintenance of stormwater catch-basins, culverts, lift stations, drains, and pipes Perform detailed reports of completed inspections, cleaning, and repairs Clear blockages of sewer and storm water lines Perform in a standby (on-call) status and work during wet weather Abide by general safety practices while conducting daily work, including wearing personal protective equipment such as eye/face protective gear, ear protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other mission specific equipment as required based on the tasks Performs additional duties as assigned Essential Skills Basic knowledge of plumbing for sewer and stormwater systems Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used for plumbing repair Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to communicate and create documents for job execution Proficiency in English is required to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and vendors as part of the core responsibilities of this position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years wastewater collections experience to include pumps and lift stations CA Wastewater I Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check to obtain base access Reliable:  wants to be part of a team  U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations Preferred Qualifications Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) OSHA 30 hour Physical Requirements Tasks require the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort Some combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling Some lifting to include overhead lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (10-20 pounds) May occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 50 pounds) * Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
