Die Maintenance Technician HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 32 facilities in eight countries. Currently, we are seeking a Die Maintenance Technician to become a part of the HIROTEC team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of progressive dies. Support equipment/die downtime and developing equipment/die improvements. Equipment/asset care and Planned Preventive Maintenance for stamping dies, press, processes, and procedures. Troubleshoot die concerns to identify the root cause and implement sound countermeasures. Disassembly and assembly of dies while performing routine preventive maintenance and perform emergency repairs on dies inside the press. Use of measuring tools to conform to specifications, such as calipers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, thickness gauge, radius gauge, and micrometers, to verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances. Other duties and projects may be assigned. Ideal candidate should have five years of die maintenance experience in automotive/manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills, in addition to proven computer skills required. Strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills. Must have a sound technical aptitude with a thorough understanding of stamping, automation, and manufacturing applications. Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and blueprints with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and electronic. Must be able to TIG, MIG, and ARC weld and use die grinder. Ability to operate overhead crane and material handling equipment including forklifts.
