**Sr. Architect – Data & Digital Transformation** Location: US (Location Agnostic); Pittsburg or Cleveland would be ideal Leadership Band/ Level: Sr. Director Work mode: Remote; travel to Pittsburg, Cleveland, Dallas **About the Role** As a Senior Architect specializing in data and digital transformation, you will lead the architectural vision and execution for complex, large-scale initiatives that leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies and data-driven ecosystems. You will partner closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, and delivery partners to design robust, scalable, and secure hybrid architecture spanning On-Premises, AWS, Azure, and other cloud environments. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise and the ability to drive change across business and technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** ➢Own and drive the enterprise-wide architecture strategy for digital transformation initiatives, leveraging microservices, AI-driven solutions, real-time integrations, and heterogeneous data sources/formats. ➢Conceptualize, design, and deliver scalable, resilient, and secure platform solutions supporting evolving business needs. ➢Architect and implement system integration solutions, integrating Salesforce, ServiceNow, custom applications, customer-facing channels, data lakes, and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery). ➢Define standards, best practices, and reference architectures for APIs, event-driven integration, and data interoperability across the enterprise ➢Lead end-to-end solution architecture across hybrid environments, ensuring seamless integration between applications, data infrastructure, and cloud services on AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms. ➢Collaborate with CTOs, VPs of Data & AI, and senior technical leaders to translate business objectives into innovative data architectures and governance frameworks. ➢Guide modernization initiatives, transitioning legacy systems to modular, federated architectures incorporating micro front-ends and microservices. ➢Drive the design and optimization of real-time streaming data pipelines using Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink, or equivalent technologies, ensuring high throughput and low latency. ➢Define best practices for data modeling, quality, governance, and security across relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. ➢Evaluate and propose emerging data technologies and cloud services, championing continuous improvement and architectural innovation. ➢Facilitate workshops and presentations to align stakeholders on architecture vision, technical roadmaps, and transformation priorities. ➢Mentor and lead cross-functional teams, fostering agile delivery and DevOps practices including CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code. **Qualifications** •Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline. •15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture with deep expertise in data architecture and digital transformation. •Proven expertise with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, and GCP, including services for data warehousing, lake houses, and streaming analytics. •Strong hands-on experience with microservices, hybrid cloud solutions, and front-end federated architectures. •Deep knowledge of real-time data processing frameworks (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink) and unstructured data management using NoSQL stores (MongoDB, Cassandra). •Proficient in SQL, Python, Scala, and experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate) for AI-powered use cases. •Extensive background in data governance, compliance, identity management, and security best practices. •Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex technical concepts clearly across diverse audiences. •Agile methodology experience, with strong leadership skills to manage cross-disciplinary teams and foster innovation. **Preferred Skills & Attributes** •Certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or GCP Professional Data Engineer. •Experience with implementing Lakhouse architecture on-Prem and cloud. •Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. •Experience with policy-as-code in Data and application environments. •Data Modelling, Polyglot persistence, virtualization, Data governance. •Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and deployment on cloud environments. •Strong strategic mindset with proven success in driving enterprise-wide architectural transformations. •Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring abilities, thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous settings. **Soft Skills & Leadership Traits** o Strategic Communicator – simplifies complex architecture and aligns stakeholders. o Executive Presence – trusted advisor to leadership with influencing capabilities & ability to stand the ground. o Collaborative Leader – mentors and leads cross-functional teams effectively. o Innovative Thinker – explores emerging technologies and fosters innovation. o Results-Oriented – accountable, deadline-focused, and outcome-driven. o Customer-Centric – balances user experience with business impact. o Adaptable & Resilient – thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced settings.
