Adult Slow Pitch Softball Umpires and Scorekeepers Wanted (Cerritos, Downey, Pico, Culver City)

Major League Softball (MLS) is currently looking for men and women who are interested in scorekeeping and umpiring our adult SLO-PITCH softball programs. We run leagues in Los Angeles County. Weekday shifts start anytime between 6-8pm, and can be anywhere from 2-4 games. Weekend shifts are scheduled ALL DAY long and can be anywhere from 2-9 games. Pay is SAME DAY CASH ON THE FIELD and the payout is $20 for scorekeepers and $30 for umpires per game. Games are typically 60-70 min each. All Umpires must become SCMAF Certified and pass an on-field audition before you may be scheduled. Previous umpiring experience is a plus, but we will train you (strong knowledge of the game is a must). We have SCMAF Clinics coming up, so contact us soon to reserve a spot so you can start earning. Training available for Scorekeepers. Training is unpaid, you must train for the position. MANDATORY MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR UMPIRES: 1 - You must have strong people skills, PATIENCE & a good attitude. 2 - You must have a cell phone with texting capability + daily access to email and internet for scheduling purposes. 3 - You must have your own RELIABLE transportation. 4 - You must be 21 or over with no criminal record & no ongoing health or mobility issues – umpiring is physical and requires hustle. 5 - YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK AT LEAST 2 OF THE FOLLOWING DAYS consistently each week: FRIDAY (eve), SUNDAY (anytime between 8am-7pm) MANDATORY MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR SCOREKEEPERS: 1 - You must have strong people skills, PATIENCE & a good attitude. 2 - You must have a cell phone with texting capability + daily access to email and internet for scheduling purposes. 3 - You must have your own RELIABLE transportation. 4 - You must be 18 or over and must be able to lift 20lbs-30lbs. 5 - YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK FROM 6PM-10:30PM WEEKNIGHT SHIFTS OR 9AM-3PM FOR SUNDAY SHIFTS If you meet the requirements above & would like to be considered please contact DSO @ MLSOFTBALL.COM (SCOREKEEPER) OR DUO @ MLSOFTBALL.COM (UMPIRE) put INTERESTED IN UMPIRING OR SCOREKEEPING in the subject line.
