Scrum Master Location: New York, NY Workplace Type: Hybrid About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team in New York City. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, ensuring adherence to Scrum best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure-centric projects. You will play a crucial role in our cloud and infrastructure modernization initiatives, working closely with Development, QA, DevOps, and Product Owners. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and experience delivering projects on AWS/on-prem environments. This is a hybrid role, requiring a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. Ensure adherence to Scrum best practices and principles within the team. Collaborate with Development, QA, and DevOps teams on Kafka and AWS/on-prem migration initiatives. Monitor and report delivery progress using JIRA (or equivalent tools). Partner with Product Owners to groom and prioritize backlogs aligned with cloud and infrastructure modernization goals. Remove impediments and roadblocks that hinder the team's progress. Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices. Promote self-organization and continuous improvement within the team. Facilitate communication and collaboration between the team and stakeholders. Track and manage team velocity and sprint burndown charts. Identify and address potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery. Ensure that the team has a clear understanding of the sprint goals and objectives. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master. 8-10 years of overall IT experience. In-depth understanding of DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Octopus). Experience delivering infrastructure-centric Agile projects (preferably on AWS/on-prem). Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification. Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and XP. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using JIRA (or equivalent Agile project management tools). Experience working with cross-functional teams. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with Kafka is highly desirable.
