We currently have an exciting career opportunity as a Fabrication Operator! This role is based in our facility in Winchester, Tennessee, and reports to our Production Manager. The successful candidate will operate and run machinery with the purpose of supporting efficient production as well as adhering to safety expectations. Requirements Troubleshoot and address production process problems as they arise. Read and understand technical documentation and work instructions. Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Ensure and follow quality procedures are adhered to (pin holes, splicing, accurate count, accurate shipping labels, etc.) and fill out the production records. Meet and maintain company ISO quality and production requirements. Workable knowledge of and ability to use micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauge pins, impact tester and pressure test equipment. Must be eager to learn, excited to work on a team, and have good written and verbal communication skills Other duties as the need arises and/or assigned. Tools & Equipment Tape Splicing Caracal Automatic Palletizer Basic Hand Tools Utility Knife Measuring Tools Inspection tools and gauges (check pipes, micrometer) Working conditions The person in this role spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment, which will involve varying degrees of light to moderate physical labor. Requires good mobility and involves considerable lifting (less than 25 lbs.), pulling, bending, standing and walking. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, and the use of sharp blades for cutting rubber; however, incumbent will use standard personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and aprons. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Sample Management & Tracking Open, log, and track all incoming and outgoing samples and packages daily. Measure, review, and organize incoming samples; route for internal comments/approvals. Identify discrepancies or issues and escalate to the Product Development Manager. Consolidate and send clear sample comments to vendors. Maintain organized archives of prototypes, final samples, and PP samples for reference. ·        Maintain and organize swatches, and production room Lab Dips & Color Management Own lab dip/strike-off process from request to final approval.
