City Wide Facility Solutions is looking for a Handyman to perform general facility repairs and preventive maintenance tasks throughout City Wide managed buildings. As a City Wide Handyman your responsibilities may include but are not limited to general facility repairs, preventative maintenance, electrical, plumbing, painting, HVAC, lightbulb and ballast replacement, carpentry, landscaping, moving of equipment and furniture, cleaning of facilities and floors. Reliable automobile, valid WI Driver’s License, insurance, and a good driving record Favorable results on criminal background check and drug and alcohol test/policy Ability to stand, walk and move rapidly for an 8 hour work shift. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb stairs and ladders. Ability to perform repetitious movements- including arm, wrist and hands Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Mental alertness to ensure safe and accurate completion of work Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment Energetic, hard-working, dependable, organized and detail-oriented On occasion, willingness and availability to work other shifts and overtime Previous experience a plus Responsibilities Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary Requirements Proven experience as maintenance technician Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus Benefits At City Wide Facility Solutions, we’re always looking for A-level talent.
