If so - we want to hear from you! Fuse is looking for a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to join our team onsite in San Diego, CA. We’re looking for a mechanical engineer that can balance discipline and attention to detail with outside-the-box thinking and an innovative problem-solving attitude. Must be a pragmatic and mission-driven self-starter. Apply your analytical and detail-oriented mindset to develop, own, and improve Fuse’s products for U.S. defense agencies that improve the sharing of information among warfighters distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments. Through a collaborative effort with the Electrical, Systems, and Production teams, this role will support Fuse Engineering to build communications, networking, and computing solutions for the warfighter. This is a mid-level role with great potential for growth. Warfighter-focused design and development is at the heart of Fuse processes. Throughout Fuse development our experienced team applies the best practices of commercial design-thinking, coupled to the DoD systems engineering framework. The coupling of commercially proven design with rigorous systems engineering gives Fuse an ability to rapidly design, develop and field solutions well inside of typical military design cycles. Fuse rapidly innovates, putting creative concepts into action and refining those concepts through hands-on testing, user evaluation, and iterations. What you'll do: Implement mechanical systems, equipment, and packages for customers and internal programs that meet requirements and expectations  Support, design, and develop dynamic tactical communications systems Mechanical design and development for sustaining engineering of our flagship and existing products including dynamic tactical communications systems  Perform trade studies and participate in equipment selection  Generate, review, and maintain mechanical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and releasing of mechanical prints  Interact with vendors to quote and produce mechanical parts and assemblies  Participate in engineering/design reviews  Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs  Support prototype and first article hardware builds  Support integration between hardware, software, and network systems  Conduct and support test planning, execution, and post-event reporting  Interpret and research system interface documents in support of designing/defining/documenting how systems will interconnect  Translate customer requirements into subsystem and system specifications  Provide on-site and distance operational support  Limited Travel may be required  Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and 4+ years of experience  Familiarity with Engineering Drawing Practices Y14.100 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Y14.5  Expert level of capability with Solidworks software including experience with eDrawings and Model Based Definition (MBD) of products and assemblies Y14.41  Experience with fabrication methods for sheet metal and machined parts with part finishing (powder coat, anodize, Alodine, and plating)  Understanding of additive manufacturing processes and fabrication methods for sheet metal and machined parts   Understanding of cable routing and its application in enclosures  Must be a nimble self-starter who is excited about technology and can think out of the box and suggest powerful new ideas  Experience working with production personnel and creating assembly instructions  Strong technical, interpersonal, written and verbal skills  Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently  Demonstrate ownership and accountability of product designs  Ability to obtain US SECRET Clearance  US Citizen  Your own unique talents! We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to support the design, scale-up, and operation of Anthro’s new production facility for advanced electrolyte materials for use in next-generation lithium-ion batteries, enabling cleaner energy storage solutions and domestic supply chain resilience. In this role, the Process Engineer will serve as a technical contributor and owner’s representative, ensuring that engineering contractors, equipment vendors, and construction partners deliver against project scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. The role requires a strong background in process engineering, equipment specification, vendor oversight, and commissioning, with the ability to critically evaluate engineering deliverables and manage interfaces across multiple stakeholders. This role will also require up to 30% travel for FAT, SAT and site commissioning activities.
