Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and communication as directed. Support the enforcement of classroom rules and school policies by reinforcing appropriate behavior and expectations during tutoring sessions. Be available to communicate with students, teachers, and families regarding academic progress or concerns, as needed and appropriate. Build positive, respectful relationships with students, staff, and families to support learning and collaboration. Follow teacher and administrative guidance and assist with additional instructional or supervision duties as requested. This individual will utilize facility medical necessity tool to verify appropriate patient insurance coverage. This work will need to be performed according to established policies and procedures. Helps in emergency situations by quickly responding to patients in distress by using good reasoning and judgment. Reviews Practice Management System (EMR) for information that needs to be updated. Works with patients to obtain updated information and accurately enters information in Practice Management System (EMR). Identifies payer sources, verifies insurance eligibility, financial status and assigns correct payor type. Verifies if prior authorization from insurance is required; notifies Billing Department, if required. Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient copays and/or balances at check in/out. Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, and reports changes as needed. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed. Routinely demonstrates superior customer service skills. Answers the telephone in a timely and polite manner.
