As a Financial Aid Officer, you will be a key part of this collaborative effort, ensuring that our students have the financial resources they need to succeed. Essential Functions: Assist students in navigating the financial aid process, including completing applications, verifying documents, and submitting required forms. Conduct financial aid presentations and individual counseling sessions to ensure students understand their financial options and responsibilities. Evaluate student financial aid applications to determine eligibility for various federal, state, and institutional aid programs. Maintain accurate and complete student financial aid records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other university departments to resolve complex financial aid issues and provide excellent service to students. Stay up-to-date with changes in financial aid regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. Assist with the development and implementation of financial aid policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or education. Previous experience in a financial aid or student services role within higher education. Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex information to diverse audiences. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Customer service-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to student success. Proficient in computer applications, including financial aid management software and Microsoft Office Suite. $25-$28/hr. (Salary is based on experience and education.)
