About the Role We’re hiring a Senior Comptroller to join our financial leadership team and serve as the successor to our retiring CFO. This is a critical role with a clear succession path, ideal for a hands-on, high-performing financial leader with a strong background in property management accounting and a passion for disciplined growth. The right candidate will be a strategic operator who can own core accounting functions today and help lead the finance organization of tomorrow. What You’ll Do Oversee financial operations for a portfolio of multifamily and commercial assets Lead monthly financial statement reviews and ensure accuracy of pre-/post-close reporting Manage balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, and mortgage tie-outs Oversee bank activity including wires, transfers, and ACH management Collaborate on investor reporting, tax documentation, and distribution calculations Coordinate with third-party CPAs on tax filings, K-1s, and investor info accuracy Support acquisition and disposition processes from a financial compliance standpoint Maintain investor funding logs, capital activity, and performance reporting Assist in documentation for legal, Blue Sky filings, and ownership assignments Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes for scalability Provide analytical support to executive and investment teams Help lead the transition of CFO responsibilities over the next 12 months Integrate HRIS systems and operations, Manage payroll for 10-50 associates Work side by side with leadership to develop and implement new systems for accounting Requirements What You’ll Bring (Required) 7+ years of accounting experience, including senior-level real estate or property management accounting Deep knowledge of GAAP and U.S. accounting standards Strong financial systems proficiency; comfortable with multiple software platforms Meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to manage complex transactions Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit Experience working cross-functionally with legal, operations, and investor relations Bonus Points Experience with fund accounting, waterfalls, and preferred returns Understanding of Fair Market Valuation for IRA investors Familiarity with syndication structures or private equity real estate CPA or MBA Experience with EOS and scaling mid to large portfolio Culture Fit at Granite Towers We hire for capability and culture: Positive Mindset — You view challenges as growth opportunities Relentless Execution — You follow through, finish strong, and own your outcomes CANI — You constantly raise the bar for yourself and the team Doing the Right Thing — You prioritize long-term trust over shortcuts What Success Looks Like Monthly financials are accurate, on time, and audit-ready Investor tax and distribution data is error-free and consistently reconciled CapEx and acquisition activity is supported with clear, accurate financial tracking Transition of CFO duties is smooth, proactive, and aligned with executive needs Financial systems and reporting processes are optimized for scale Internal stakeholders trust the Comptroller team to deliver clarity and precision Compensation Target Compensation: $90,000–$140,000, depending on experience and qualifications How We Hire (Quick & Respectful) Submit Resume Complete Job Fit Assessment (45 minutes — online) Recruiter Screen (30–45 min video call) Hiring Manager Interview (with CFO + investment leadership) Founder Interview Final Interview or Working Session Apply Now Please submit your resume and complete the job fit assessment: ·         Assessment will take 45 minutes to complete ·         Best completed on a computer or tablet. ·         A brief cover letter is welcome. https://TeamArchitects.asmt.io/X7K7RKC49/CFOFinancialControllerJob-Assessment-GTEG
