We are looking for CNAs to staff our RCFE Buildings and our new Pavilion medical facility. Essential Functions: Performs skills required of a certified nursing assistant related to provision of basic ADL care, provision of nutrition and hydration, toileting program, incontinent care, vital signs, and other nursing care as needed. Adapts care giving to build on individual resident strengths and abilities. Actively supports the basic rights of residents Assists in resident self-administration of medication as needed. Documents medication administration. Completes all required documentation related to centrally stored medications, medication refills, etc Maintains an awareness of resident health. Informs appropriate staff of any incidents or changes in resident condition. Documents resident care, behavior and special needs as required by policy and procedure Applies clinical knowledge to validate and communicate instrument readings and provide nursing care to geriatric residents. Actively participates in department meetings and education programs. Maintains current CNA certificate and attends mandatory in-service training. Ensures safety of residents by maintaining a safe environment and using appropriate behavioral intervention techniques. Recognizes and respects the individual emotional, social, and cultural needs of residents including their religious beliefs Adapts care giving to build on individual resident strengths and abilities, using and modeling appropriate behavioral intervention techniques with residents Keeps alert to residents’ condition and reports changes in the residents’ attitudes, appearance, behavior, and physical ability the Nurse in charge. Performs selected nursing procedures that do not require professional evaluation as assigned and instructed by the Nurse in charge Practices conservation of equipment and supplies, keeping them clean and ready for use. Reports any equipment and supply needs to the Nurse in charge. Ensures that call lights/ alarms are within residents’ reach and promptly answers call signals. Anticipates residents’ needs and makes rounds routinely to assigned residents. Assists residents in their recreational activities, and as needed escorts residents throughout the facility. Assists in escorting residents to and from medical appointments as requested by the Pavilion Manager Assists with individual and small group activities, planned and spontaneous, that meet resident needs in the following areas: social, friendship, physical, intellectual, vocational, and spiritual Keeps written notes of specific assignments and records pertinent information about the residents. Enters all appropriate resident data in the medical record timely and accurately. Communicates and cooperates with co-workers, residents, and other facility employees. Establishes good working relationships with all departments. Practices good teamwork. Accountable for maintaining a good record of attendance and punctuality. Pay Range: $31.00 - $38.00 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assigns and evaluates the direct nursing care given by Certified Nursing Assistants on the assigned unit. Gives and records medications and treatments and evaluates the effectiveness of these medications and treatments by applying education, experience and nursing knowledge. Orders floor stock medications as is necessary. Makes rounds on the floor and visits residents daily. Keeps the Shift Supervisor and/or Director of Health Services and/or Assistant Director of Nursing/Physician informed, both orally and in writing, of any changes in the residents’ conditions. Supervises assigned staff and makes recommendations regarding performance evaluations and discipline. Trains assigned staff in routine tasks as necessary. Attends scheduled staff meetings, in‑service training and properly participates in fire and disaster drills. Assists with completion of MDS as needed Enters or assures that all appropriate resident data is entered into the medical record, electronically and hand written. Supervises Restorative Care and resident activities. Makes accurate admission and ongoing assessments of residents in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and responds appropriately. Responsible for inventory and safe storage of all medical supplies and equipment. Conveys information is a concise, accurate and understandable manner. Displays attentiveness, tact and diplomacy in responding to others. Assures that staff, contractors and vendors, residents and visitors, etc., know and follow established policies and procedures. Performs all assigned duties in a professional manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Supervises, trains and evaluates assigned staff. May participate in counseling of staff. Assists in developing departmental policies and procedures. Requirements Any combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge and abilities listed, typically: · Possesses a current license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California, and possesses a current CPR certificate. TITLE: Cardiovascular Tech / Cardiac Cath Lab Tech / RCIS / RT(R, CV) LOCATION: Huron, Ohio   An opportunity to work in north central Ohio for an established healthcare system of 400 beds that serves four counties. What you will be doing: •Provides professional, highly technical cardiovascular care to all cardiovascular patients, while assisting physicians during all cardiovascular procedures.  Functions as a liaison for patients, families, and physicians.  Assists the physician in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures. •Assists with setting up cardiac cath lab procedure rooms by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment. •Knowledge of equipment utilized in procedures, pressure monitoring, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, EKG interpretation, sterile technique, and radiation safety practices. •Proficient in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring for all Cath Lab procedures. •Inspects and prepares operative area as necessary. •Communicates relevant procedural information to physician and ancillary personnel. •Observes sterile technique and proper disposal of infected materials. •Records EKG information, samples and records pressure tracings, and informs appropriate personnel of changes during procedure.  Maintains complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures.  Ensures completion of all registry abstracts.
