What you will be doing: •Provides professional, highly technical cardiovascular care to all cardiovascular patients, while assisting physicians during all cardiovascular procedures.  Functions as a liaison for patients, families, and physicians.  Assists the physician in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures. •Assists with setting up cardiac cath lab procedure rooms by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment. •Knowledge of equipment utilized in procedures, pressure monitoring, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, EKG interpretation, sterile technique, and radiation safety practices. •Proficient in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring for all Cath Lab procedures. •Inspects and prepares operative area as necessary. •Communicates relevant procedural information to physician and ancillary personnel. •Observes sterile technique and proper disposal of infected materials. •Records EKG information, samples and records pressure tracings, and informs appropriate personnel of changes during procedure.  Maintains complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures.  Ensures completion of all registry abstracts.
