We are offering an opportunity to put your experience in Directional Boring and maintenance to good use, to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, and do so for one of the fastest-growing construction companies in the U.S. Responsibilities: Perform directional drilling/boring operations, installing underground facilities, potholing, setting peds, etc.; Examine drilling sites, work cooperatively with management to develop operational plans, and ensure that drilling personnel follow safety standards; Keep heavy construction equipment and associated equipment clean and in good working order; Perform other duties as required and assigned. Requirements At least 3 years of Drilling/Boring experience; Must have Valid Class A CDL; Must have proven experience in heavy construction equipment operations with emphasis on drilling and boring machines operations; Read, understand, and interpret engineering plans and specifications; Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and drive or ride in a vehicle for long periods of time; Work up to 5 days per week in an all-weather environment and be willing to travel as required. Ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractors. Capability to develop project work plans, health and safety plans, traffic control plans, erosion control plans, etc. Willingness to travel up to 25 to 50 percent of the time to project sites, as required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or related field. M.S./P.G. or other relevant professional certifications. Responsibilities: Assist with the setup and operation of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment; Perform underground utility locating and marking to ensure safe drilling in compliance with project specifications; Follow safety protocols and quality standards to support safe and accurate drilling operations; Maintain accurate bore path logs and assist with jobsite documentation as directed; Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth execution of daily tasks; Support restoration efforts and site cleanup following completion of drilling work; Inspect and perform basic maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure proper functionality and readiness. Drilling Foreman - Pacific Northwest Region (WA.OR) Drill Operator/Locator - Pacific Northwest Region (WA.OR) The position requires extensive travel — at least 80% of the time — within the region where the individual is assigned. A company vehicle and travel expenses will be provided. Key Responsibilities (Depending on Role): Operate or locate horizontal directional drills (HDD) for fiber, copper, or utility installation; Read and interpret construction plans, bore logs, and site maps; Supervise, train, and support underground drilling crews; Perform jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards; Troubleshoot field issues and coordinate with project managers and regional leadership; Conduct potholing, utility locates, and restoration work as needed; Document job progress, crew performance, and field training activities. We are currently seeking an experienced Driller to support our environmental and geotechnical drilling programs in Ballston Spa, New York. This full-time position requires experience with soil sampling, installation of various size groundwater monitoring and recovery wells, rock coring, air & mud rotary and geotechnical drilling. Additional responsibilities include routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs of equipment.
